Hello, 'ello, 'ello!

Our goal is to bring a fan-run convention to Asheville, North Carolina by early 2026. Inspired by The Ineffable Con in The UK, we thought it was time there was a con here, too. On our way to launching IneffableAVL, there will be many smaller events for fans to get together to share our love and joy and heartbreak.

Welcome to our ineffable little corner of the internet!

Tempt you to a spot of lunch?

Giving Back

Seasons one and two of the tv adaptation of Good Omens have provided the LGBTQ+ community with amazing - and long overdue - mainstream-media representation. In honor of everything Good Omens - the book and the show - has given our community, all proceeds from the IneffableAVL fan convention will be donated to the Human Rights Campaign**, whose goal "is to ensure that all LGBTQ+ people, and particularly those of us who are trans, people of color and HIV+, are treated as full and equal citizens within our movement, across our country and around the world."

**The Human Rights Campaign is not affiliated with IneffableAVL, and their inclusion as our charity of choice does not indicate any affiliation with or opinion of our project. They are simply the organization we have chosen to support.

Max Smith

A friend lent Max their audiobook version of Good Omens over 10 years ago, and he's been a fan ever since. He attended The Ineffable Con 5 virtually in July 2024, and while he was absolutely not jealous AT ALL of the fans who got to participate in-person, he knew he needed that experience. And so, IneffableAVL was born.

Max is a sucker for any fic set in 1941, a hardcore Meric shipper, and might start a riot if Leslie isn't in Season 3. When he's not planning a fan convention, you'll find him reading fics, making fanvids, gluebooking, and wrangling his two exceptionally needy cats.
